While completing her Master’s degree, Alison was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for University of Tennessee’s Physical Education Activity Program. Alison also worked as an Educational Specialist for the University of Tennessee’s Academic Enrichment Upward Bound program. A program dedicated to mentoring low-income, first generation high school students graduate high school and attend college. Alison joined IMG Academy in the fall of 2009, and is a Mental Conditioning consultant with a variety of sports.

Christian brings an abundance of experience with him from both the academic and golfing worlds. His primary responsibility at IMG Academy is to work alongside the golf program with both groups and individuals.

Joshua is a senior member of the mental conditioning staff and is currently the heads up all team sports mental conditioning at the academy.  His enthusiasm and passion for his students and teams is infectious and is evidence by their great successes.  He uses a variety of team building exercises and mental skill building exercises to help athletes apply the tools they learn in workshops to the field of play.

Taryn has consulted with numerous junior, collegiate, and professional/Olympic athletes and teams. She has been the mental conditioning consultant for Texas A&M Women’s Soccer, University of Tennessee Women’s Soccer, Rowing and Swimming/Diving, Maryville College Volleyball, the Southeast Florida Figure Skating Club (including Amanda Evora, Olympic Pairs skater) in addition to all of the IMG sports.

Dr. Mugford brings a wealth of knowledge to IMG after spending years at an academic level completing his doctorate in sport psychology. He is the Head of the IMG Academy Mental Conditioning Division, managing a staff of 9 consultants and developing programs for junior and professional athletes and coaches. Through his understanding and application of skills, Angus trains athletes in group and individual settings, across a wide range of sports and consulting with NCAA Division 1 programs, athletes from the WTA and ATP tour, NFL and NBA.

Seagrave is one of the most renowned speed coaches in the world. In 1998, he began working as a speed and conditioning coach with the Atlanta Falcons during the off-season training program, and helped propel them to the Super Bowl. Some of his NFL pupils include Eddie George, Mo Lewis, Dorsey Levens, Tyrone Poole, Marco Coleman, Willie Clay, Terrell Davis, Tony Romo, Roy Williams, Marc Columbo, and Hershel Walker.

Hesse trained as an Organizational Psychologist which led to a seven year career working in management consultancy based out of London, UK. He specialized in business transformation and organizational change working with multi-national companies across numerous business sectors and government departments. In 2007 he completed his Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University, England.

After having spent 5 months in business development as the Soccer Sport Advisor at IMG, Ben has transitioned into the Lacrosse Program where he serves as the Business Manager. Having worked in Sports Marketing at Nike’s World Headquarters, the NCAA’s Office of Government Relations and Georgetown University’s Athletic Department, Ben brings lots of experience from the sports business world. Moreover, Ben comes from a lacrosse family as his brother, Eric, currently plays lacrosse at Harvard University and his sister Anna plays at Brooks Academy.

Jason Basso joins the IMG Academy lacrosse program as Defensive Coordinator with a wealth of playing and coaching experience. After playing lacrosse for Rutgers University, Basso stayed with the team as a volunteer assistant coach before accepting a coaching position with Hartwick College in 2004.  

In 2006, Basso returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach where he stayed for four years before joining the staff at St. Joe’s High School in Metuchen, NJ.
