Pete comes to IMG Academy after what will be his sixth season as the head coach at Principia College. Prior to Pete’s time at Principia he served as an assistant at Cal State Los Angeles and at Whittier College.  Pete has also spent time in the Northeast League coaching professional Independent players.  He was drafted as a player in 1994 in the 16th round by the San Diego Padres and spent 9 years between the Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers organizations.  Pete was recognized by Baseball America as a two-time “Best Defensive 1st Baseman”.

Prior to joining the IMG Academy staff in 2008, Edgar played 15 years of professional baseball with the Dodgers, Expos, White Sox, Brewers, Royals, and Angels. Coach Caceres brings extensive professional playing/coaching/managing experience to the IMG Academy baseball program.  He has an easy approach to teaching infielders/hitters to utilize their potential.

Prior to joining the IMG Academy staff in 2004, Coach Frey played a total of 17 years of professional baseball including 8 years in the Major Leagues with the Montreal Expos, Anaheim Angels, San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners, and Philadelphia Phillies.  Steve brings a high energy approach to the game with the ability to communicate well with all ages, skills and ability level.

IMG Academy baseball program Director Ken Bolek previously coached for 13 years at every level of professional baseball including the Major Leagues (Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs), as well as at the NCAA Division I level.

Daniel Pinho resides in Sarasota with his wife and son. Since 2004 Daniel has been working in the finance field, specializing in investment research and active management. He was drawn to IMG in order to pursue two of his greatest passions, working with Children and Soccer. He has been an avid volunteer in his community for several years, by involving himself with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Decisions to win, The MS Society, Habitat for Humanity, YMCA Youth Soccer, and JDRF.
