Glenn Feldman Sportsmanship Award
Glenn Feldman was Eddie Herr’s grandson and the impetus behind the creation of the Eddie Herr International Junior Tournament. Feldman was determined to create a lasting legacy to Herr as a tribute to the man, the tennis visionary, and the father of international junior tennis.
A proponent of good sportsmanship and fair play, Feldman was passionate about maintaining the purity of sport and competition. Upon witnessing episodes of inappropriate on-court behavior at the Eddie Herr, he was known to take players aside and issue stern lectures.
The Glenn Feldman Sportsmanship Award was created as a tribute to Feldman, who passed away in 1999.
