Everyday I: I am given the opportunity to be successful. I have all the resources to make myself a better player. I am thankful for the opportunity at hand, and everyday I try to improve myself even more and more.
Every night I: Relax! After a whole day in the academy it's exhausting. Rest is crucial to start the next day.
Every Training Session I: Try to the best of my abilities. I apply ACE (Attitude, Concentration and Effort) to everything I do and that makes me improve.
Every game I: Follow the game plan, but at the same time try to enjoy myself while I'm on the field. Each game has its own story and anyone can change it in an instant.
Every victory I: Look back and how I contributed to the win. If I did something good, I try to add on that. If I did something bad I try to work on it for next time.
Every defeat I: Look back and how I contributed to the loss. If I did something good, I try to add on that. If I did something bad I try to work on it for next time.
Every goal I: Have done my job as a forward. It reminds where I came from and why I am here. It is a reminder which continues to motivate to strive for more goals.
IMG means: Opportunities. Depending how you approach and act towards the academy determines how much you will succeed and accomplish.
Soccer means: Fun! You should enjoy something you do everyday and I love it!
Failing means: There is room for improvement.
One day I will: Look back at my IMG experience and know it contributed to the person I am.
Meet Benny Barshai:
I am currently in my second year at the Soccer Academy. I came all the way from Bangkok, Thailand to see how far I could go with my soccer abilities.
In the past year and a half, my game has improved in very aspect, from physical to mental, to strategies and tactics. My best experience here has been playing soccer and meeting new people. Everyday is an obstacle, and it is the way you overcome it that defines who you are. The future for me holds opportunities to play soccer in college/university and to get a degree in business. The academy, teachers, family and friends are all helping me to accomplish my goals. I am very thankful
