Delois Teague writes about her own recent IMG experience
I came to the Bollettieri Tennis Academy to accompany my son, Canyon, who is developing his tennis skills. My husband said, "Why don't you do the morning session for three days (while Canyon trains). You've never been there before, and I know you will enjoy it."
Well, I started the morning session with expectations of a boot camp (You see... I watch the Tennis Channel).
I was given great lessons from world-class, friendly and likable pros who evaluated my level of play and pushed me close to the limit, but not beyond it. In one day, I now have a better understanding of the court, which now helps translate to me the type of shot to use in each zone of the court.
The second day was just as magnificent! The group from the New Albany Country Club in Columbus, Ohio, (Myself, Paula Kobelt and Julie Judge) spent time with Nick Bollettieri and were so lucky to get a photograph with him. After a great lunch, we even sat poolside with Daniela Hantuchova, who was once the No. 5-ranked player on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour and has worked with Nick on the clay courts in recent days.
We received expert and meticulous attention during the entire time that we took lessons. It was also great fun.
