BRADENTON, March 19, 2009âIMG Tennis, a division of global sports and entertainment company IMG, today announced that Hyeon Chung and Hong Chung of Korea have signed with the company for exclusive worldwide management and representation.
About Hyeon and Hong Chung:
Hyeon, 12, burst onto the junior tennis scene in December by winning the prestigious Eddie Herr International and Jr. Orange Bowl Boy's 12- and-under singles titles back-to-back held in Florida, dropping only one set along the way. Hyeon also became the fist Korean in history to claim a championship title (in any age group) at the Eddie Herr International. He is currently ranked No. 1 according to the Korean Tennis Association Boys 12-and-under rankings.
Hong, 15, has claimed two ITF 18-and-under singles titles and one doubles title. He has been ranked as high as No. 263 in the world ITF 18-and-under junior rankings and he was the recent champion of the 18-and-under Korean Nationals (Chun-kuk-Joong-ko-jong-byul Tennis Championship).
Hyeon and Hong will train and live full-time at the legendary Nick Bolletteiri Tennis Academy at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Their management team will be led by Ben Crandell, from Bradenton, Florida and Brian Lee, from Seoul, Korea.
