The newest member of the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy family is Bernard Tomic. The 16-year old Australian phenom has just moved to the NBTA to train and was also just given a wild card into the main draw of the French Open. He reached the second round of the Australian Open earlier this year by beating 73rd ranked Potito Starace in the first round. He also won a Challenger event back in January. Both great results have helped propel him to #373 in the world, which is his career high.
Tomic was on the green-clay court this morning practicing with veteran Taylor Dent. Dent is coming off of a great run to the fourth round of the Sony Ericsson Open where he beat two top-20 players. He has improved his ranking 584 spots just this year after sustaining an injury that kept him out of play for two years. Both men are prepping for the clay-court season.
