There are a great deal of common beliefs and habits that many athletes tend to struggle with. If you as an athlete can learn to appreciate the following mental conditioning truths, you will be able to appreciate a perspective shift that may elevate your performances. REMEMBER: A successful athlete's focus is on the development of their performance, not the outcome.
1. What you think and feel will affect how you play. The fundamental premise of mental training is to appreciate: MIND + BODY + EMOTIONS = Behavior AND Outcome.
2. Your mind and body are connecting and communicating each and every moment. Make sure they are both affecting you in a good way. Even one negative thought can create a chain reaction of negative energy that may ultimately lead to poor performances.
