IMG Academy basketball program's senior Andrew Davis recently went to Army for his first college basketball visit. It will also be his last visit, since he verbally committed to play for the Black Knights next year. Army is struggling in conference play this year, and Davis is part of a freshman class determined to change that.
...why Army? "I really felt that Army was one of the best academic institutions in the United States, plus they have a good basketball program. I don't have any family ties to the armed forces or anything like that, it just seemed like the perfect fit when I visited. Being used to the program here, with full time athletics and academics, should help me keep up with the schedule and also being used to that type of atmosphere is a good thing."
...things to work on? "I really just need to work on putting on weight the most, it's always been hard for me to do that. Hopefully my work ethic and the attitude that you can't take a day off will help me to reach all of my goals, including putting on weight."
