3/24/2010 - Dunedin HS
In its 2nd home game on the season, the IMG varsity team hosted Dunedin High School at an ominous 5pm start time. Dunedin jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the visiting half of the 2nd inning, but Casey Mulholland responded with a solo home run to tie the game. The offense went silent for the next 3 innings until Gavin Patton cut into the 5-1 deficit with a 2-run home run of his own. Relievers Blake Perry and Michael Bradshaw kept IMG in the game. The game was forced into extra innings after an RBI hit-by-pitch of pinch hitter Matt Martin in the bottom of the 7th. Unfortunately, the sun faded on the horizon after the 8th inning, ending the game in a 5-5 tie. IMG now stands with a record of 6-3-1 on the year.
3/16/2010 - Seminole HS
The IMG Academy School at IMG Academy lost an agonizing game, 4-3, Tuesday night at Seminole High School. On a field where over the past 3 years we have seen the lights blow out, rain delays that have never ended and blow-out victories, nothing can compare to this painful ending on the Seminole Warhawks' home field. Leading 3-0 going in to the bottom of the 6th inning, Seminole clean-up hitter, Jordan Doyle hit a go-ahead grand slam off of IMG starter Casey Mulholland. Mulholland was cruising up until that point with 12 Ks through 5 innings, but the 6th inning was the game clincher as Seminole retired the visiting Panthers in the visiting half of the 7th inning. Offensively, IMG was led by Gavin Patton with 1 hit, 1 RBI and 2 stolen bases in the loss.
3/15/2010 - Countryside
IMG traveled to Countryside High School Monday night after a rain soaked Saturday postponement. Matt Martin and Carlos Somoza provided some juice to the offense with a solo home run a piece and Gavin Patton remained a hot hitter with 2 hits and 2 RBIs as well. Blake Perry started on the mound and earned the win throwing 5 innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 4. Brandon Bonilla threw 2 scoreless innings in relief striking out 4 Countryside batters of his own. The Panthers now stand at 6-2 on the year.
3/5/10 - Port Charlotte HS
The Port Charlotte baseball team kept pace with IMG Academy through six innings Friday night before stumbling to a 6-1 loss at Pirates Cove.
In search of their second win of the season, Port Charlotte entered the final frame trailing 2-1. But the Panthers drove in four runs on three hits and two errors in the top of the seventh.
Dillon Moyer and Richard Baerga had three hits and Casey Mulholland pitched a complete game to improve to 3-0. Mulholland, who pitched in the high 80s and touched the low 90s, allowed just four hits and no walks with four strikeouts.
"He's 3-0 on the mound," IMG manager Kevin Sharp said. "And that was his first earned run of the year."
That run came in the bottom of the fifth inning and pulled the Pirates within one. Port Charlotte, however, managed just one hit the rest of the way -- an infield single in the sixth.
"We got beat tonight," Port Charlotte coach Bob Bruglio said. "They just got the hits tonight and we didn't."
Mulholland and Matt Martin also doubled for IMG (5-2).
3/3/10 - Brooks-Debartalo HS
The IMG Academy School at IMG Academy played its first of three home games on the year and impressed in a 4-1 victory over Brooks-Debartalo Collegiate High School out of Tampa. Dillon Moyer had 2 hits for the Panthers and Nick Sebastian added 2 RBIs. Jimmy O'Neill pitched a complete game striking out 11 to earn his first win for the year.
2/24/10 - St. Pete Catholic HS
The IMG Academy/IMG varsity team got back to its winning ways with an 11-4 victory over St. Pete Catholic on a wet, cold, and strange night. The Panthers were cruising along with ace Casey Mulholland on the mound when the lights at SPC's field went out mid-pitch. It took nearly 30 minutes to fix the problem, but the team provided its own electricity with a 14 hit barrage led by Dillon Moyer's 3 runs scored and Gavin Patton's 3 RBIs. Tanner Pollack added a solo home run later in the game and Mulholland earned his second victory of the year.
2/23/10 - Palmetto HS
The varsity team returned home for a Manatee County match-up with Palmetto High School on Tuesday night, but walked away losing a heartbreaker 9-7. Base running errors early in the game cost the Panthers some early scoring chances and Palmetto held off a late rally in the 7th to earn the victory. Chad Clifton and Casey Mulholland paced the offense with 3 hits a piece with Mulholland hitting a solo home run.
2/18/10 - Hardee County HS
The boys took on Hardee County on Thursday February 18th at 7:30pm. Game time temperature was in the 30's. Blake Perry started the game on the mound and went four innings giving up three runs on four hits while striking out six, walking one and hitting two batters. Andy âCookieâ Ladisa pitched one inning as the stopper surrendering one run on two hits before the ball was passed to Jake Busiek. Jake pitched the final two innings to earn the save striking out five while walking and hitting one batter each respectively. Offensively, IMG was led by Dillon Moyer who was 2-4 with a double and two RBI. Casey Mulholland had two hits including a double and Pat Albrittain added two hits as well. Nick Sebastian hit a solo homerun in the 4th inning which was his first of the year. The Varsity boys (2-1) take to the field today to take on Palmetto at 7:00pm in Palmetto, FL.
2/17/10 - Lake Whales HS
The IMG Academy/IMG Varsity team lost in the second round of the Lake Wales Highlander Classic to the host Lake Wales in an excitement filled contest. A pitchers' duel throughout the full 7 innings, Lake Wales jumped on top in the 2nd inning with a 2-out single to plate the only run until the 7th inning. IMG starter Jimmy O'Neill went the full 7 innings but was the hard luck loser on a passed ball in the bottom of the 7th inning thrown by reliever Blake Perry. Up until then, O'Neill struck out 11 and surrendered 4 hits. The offense was stymied by a dominant Lake Wales starter until the 7th inning when Casey Mulholland led off the top of the 7th with a lead off single. He was driven in by Tanner Pollack's double, who later scored on a RBI single from Carlos Somoza. IMG Academy will play Hardee County in the 3rd place game on Thursday night.
2/16/10 - Ft. Meade HS

Dillon Moyer tripled, and Jimmy O'Neill had a double and four RBIs for IMG, which plays host Lake Wales on Wednesday in the next round.
