As the NFL draft nears, OT Kyle Calloway's draft stock is quickly rising. The University of Iowa senior's pre-draft training at IMG Academy has had a lot to do with presence on the league's scouting radar:
Calloway, expected to be picked among the top 15 offensive tackles next weekend, spent most of his post-Orange Bowl time at Athletic & Personal Development program at Bradenton, Fla., working with the professionals there to improve his draft stock.
"He's a Big Ten lineman, and teams know they are going to get a big guy," said Corey Stenstrup, a performance specialist with IMG. "With Kyle, he's shown he's an athlete. He can compete with NFL-quality defenders. I think he's shown people he can move; he's not just a standup strong guy."
Stenstrup spent time working with Calloway before and after the Senior Bowl, putting him on a strict regimen every day.
