Xavier Malisse, a Belgian tennis super star and former Wimbledon semi-finalist, continued his great form on grass Monday with a first round win over American Rajeev Ram 6-3 6-2 in the UNICEF Open. Playing again on Tuesday, Malisse hopes to secure his grass court footing against 22 year old Daniel Brands of Germany. The UNICEF Open is one of two ATP Tour Level Tournaments currently going on before the start of the Wimbledon Championships which begins June 21st.

Malisse is fresh off a quarter-final appearance last week at the AEGON Championships. His run to the quarter-finals was a stunning one as he took out the #3 ranked player in the world Novak Djokovic before falling to American Sam Querrey. Along the way, he also defeated IMG's Bernard Tomic 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as Malisse looks to continue his success at Wimbledon and into the American hard court season!
