Full Time golfer, Jordan Lippetz, won the AJGA Lockton Kansas City Junior last week!
The AJGA Lockton Kansas City Junior was a 54-hole stroke play tournament contested at the Kansas City Country Club in Mission Hills, Kansas. The tournament field featured 99 boys and girls ages 12-18 from 16 states and Thailand. The Girls Division played at 6,054 yards.
Jordan found herself in familiar territory going into the final round as she was a shot behind the leader. She set herself up for good approach shots for birdies on the front nine and was able to capitalize on them, as she birdied on Nos. 1, 7 and 8. A triple bogey on the back nine put her back in the mix and made for a very interesting final round stretch.
Jordan shot a final round 74, after opening with rounds of 71-71, to win by a shot over Sarah Schmelzel who put herself into contention after final a great final round of 68!
This is Jordan's 2nd win this summer as she won the Pepsi Little People's Golf Championship in June. She also finished 2nd earlier in July at the AJGA Lessing's AJGA classic.
Jordan is coached by Senior Instructor, Malcolm Joseph!
Congratulations Jordan on your great win!
