It's been called âThe World's Toughest Job Interview.â For six days at the NFL Combine (Feb. 24-March 2), college football's best will be measured, interviewed, tested, watched and analyzed by countless NFL coaches, general managers and scouts conducting all of their due diligence before the NFL Draft. To prepare, nearly two dozen prospects have traveled to IMG Academy for six-plus weeks of Physical, Mental, Communication, Nutrition, Vision and Wonderlic training with Athletic & Personal Development program specialists.
As part of training for the NFL Combine at IMG Academy, part of the athlete's day is spent performing position specific training in order to sharpen their skills against players of the same caliber. This portion of the day breaks up the group in order to perform specialized drills in an attempt to improve the athletes at their respective position as part of their overall total athlete training.
In yesterday's session, the players were out early on the practice fields braving the cold morning air. Offensive linemen were pitted against their defensive counterparts working on proper blocking form and agility, linebackers and receivers were put through a variety of drills, and running backs and fullbacks took their aggression out on the one-man sled.
