Guam - Running back Terence "T.J." Babauta attends Cabrillo High School in California where he excels on the gridiron. The junior running back/linebacker also plays a little strong safety for his team and has some pretty impressive numbers in the weight room. Babauta holds a 3.2 grade point average, runs the 40 in 4.6 seconds, can squat 425-pounds and bench press 285.
This past season he was selected as offensive player of the year for his team, nominated for Los Padres League MVP and was selected 1st Team All-League and 1st All-Area as a junior running back.
"I was invited to the Under Armour All-American Camp and while I was there these coaches evaluated us by positions," he told KUAM Sports. "As I was doing my thing Barry Foster, former Pittsburgh Steelers running back him and another coach pulled me to the side and told me I had very good potential to go to a big time school and for them to tell me that, they also recommended me to other people so they can invite me to an IMG All-Madden Academy down in Florida. So I was invited to that and I can have the possibility of being on an All Madden Team.
T.J has already got inquiries from Oregon State, Washington State, Utah, San Jose State and Northern Arizona. He has also been invited to camps like Football University and the Blue and Grey combine, which are invite-only events."
He added, "We are thinking about going to university camps like Boston College, Arizona and Notre Dame. For sure I'm going to Notre Dame and as long as I'm able to go to college and represent for the island that's fine with me. The number one school honestly would be UCLA but if I can't make it there then any college is fine with me."
T.J. ended the conversation by saying anyone that wanted advice or any information on the recruiting process, hit him up on Facebook.
