After battling Ewing's sarcoma and disappointment in the 2011 NFL Draft, the former Boston College linebacker has officially signed with the New York Giants. With looks from the San Francisco 49ers, the New Orleans Saints, the New England Patriots, the Baltimore Ravens and several other franchises, it's safe to assume that Herzlich's grit and determination did not go unnoticed. As the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2008, Mark has shown impeccable perseverance in the weight room, on the football field, and in the countless interviews since his diagnosis.
As the 2011 season draws nearer, Herzlich is sure to prove he is a fighter on and off the field. With his monstrous talent and admirable work ethic, Giants fans are in for a treat!
