Jonathan Moore (Usa)
Moore was a former US Walker Cup team member and one of the many international players to taste success in Asia. He broke through on the ADT in grand style, winning the 2011 PGM-ADT-CCM Impian Classic in Malaysia by three strokes.
He went on to claim strong finishes in Chinese Taipei and the Philippines before securing his victory on the Order of Merit with a fourth place finish at the PGM-MIDF-KLGCC Classic in Malaysia.
The 26-year-old, who resides in Oklahoma, is known for his solid short game as he frequently challenged friends in short game competitions when he was still a junior golfer at the Royal Oaks Country Club in Washington.
He said he was nervous when he first set foot in Asia but has slowly adapted to life on the Asian Tour with his wife Claire, who also caddies for him.
âThis is unexpected. I'm thankful as over a year ago, I started a new plan with some new coaches and things started to click. I've played well in the ADT events and it is awesome,â said the American.
âWhen I first got to Qualifying School in Thailand in January, I was nervous coming out of the airport and the quality of competition has been strong here. I'm thankful that my wife Claire caddied all year for me as it's really hard work to carry that bag in this heat.â
