Less than a month ago 22 year old Freddy Adu was training at IMG Academy with expert coaches and tailored programs that will ultimately shape him into the TOTAL ATHLETE. Adu is already seeing positive results from his training visit to IMG Academy world-class facilities. According to writer Alex Labidou from goal.com, there are recent talks of the possibility of Adu joining Rayo Vallecano, the elite soccer club based out of Madrid, Spain.
The Philadelphia Union Midfielder comments on the possibility to play for a top league in Europe,
"I definitely miss playing in Europe,"Adu told ESPN.com. "I always said that when I went back to MLS, I wanted stability, and that I wouldn't go back until I could play for a top-five league. But if I get that chance, I'dhave to pursue it."
With news like this floating around, his hopes and dreams seem to become more and more of a reality every time he laces up his cleats. We all know Freddy the boy, yet it will be more than interesting to see how Freddy the man defines himself over the next couple of years. With support and training from top of the line academies like IMG, he is surly off to a good start.
