Walter Camp is well known as a progenitor of American football and considered by some to be the “Father of American Football”. Annually the Walter Camp Football Foundation recognizes college's elite players by position for the All-American Team. Current IMG Combine Trainee Luke Kuechly (pronounced KEEK-lee), widely considered by many to be the top linebacker and even best defensive value in this year's upcoming NFL draft, was selected to his 2nd consecutive Walter Camp All-American selection. Kuechly is one of four players to have a repeat selection along with RB LaMichael James, WR Justin Blackmon and WR Ryan Broyles.

The Walter Camp All-American Team selects twenty-five players and is voted on by 120 football bowl subdivision coaches and sports information directors. The Walter Camp All-American Team is in its 122nd edition making it the nation's oldest All-American Team. Walter Camp's All-American team, simply

put, is one of college football's most prestigious accolades

As Luke forgoes his senior season and prepares for the upcoming draft this February 22nd to 28th, IMG Academy is proud to host a player of such caliber during its Combine preparatory program for the next five weeks. Luke arrived at IMG in early January to being training for the Combine under the guidance of IMG's world-class coaches and experts. Over the last decade, IMG has helped effectively train and improve the performance of such successful NFL players as LaDainian Tomlinson, Drew Brees, Grant Wistrom and Cam Newton. IMG Academy looks forward to helping Luke on is his way to a very probable first round draft pick this upcoming April, and, beyond that, to a long and successful NFL career.
