Today marks the official start of the 2012 NBA Combine. The Combine is a grueling test for an individual to showcase the necessary basketball talent and personal character to succeed at the highest level.
Over the last 8 weeks, NBA combine participants Kendall Marshall (UNC) , Moe Harkless (St John's), Bernard James (FSU), Kevin Murphy (Tennessee Tech), Darius Johnson-Odom (Marquette), and Fab Melo (Syracuse) have spent time training at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Led by Head Trainer Dan Barto and the rest of the IMG Academy basketball program staff, this unique group of players followed a specializedscientific regime from 8:00 AM until 7:30 PM. The intense training consists of positional skill training, dynamic movement training, performance strength work, and individual nutritional planning.
This basketball training program was followed by draft surprises and rising stars 1st Team All-Rookie Iman Shumpert and Bulls guard Jimmy Butler before the 2011 combine. Take a moment to catch a glimpse of the program as these elite athletes prepare for a career in the NBA.
