Rafael Nadal (ESP) vs. Novak Djokovic (SRB)
I cannot wait to watch this match - this is history in the making between two of the best of all time. Nadal, who will be playing for his record seventh French Open title, is on a mission. He is like a combination of a Navy Seal and an Army Ranger in one. He absolutely destroyed Ferrer, losing only 5 games, and that was against one of the best clay-court players in the world. The guy is on a completely different level right now and I am not sure even the mighty Djokovic can stop him.
Speaking of Djokovic, he didn't struggle very much against Federer either. Beating Federer so easily is a very difficult task and he made it look easy. He will have to take his game to another level to beat Nadal though. If he wins this match he will hold all Grand Slam titles at once, which would be the first time since Rod Laver accomplished that feat in 1969.
If Nadal wins this, he will not only be the greatest clay-court player of all time, but he will be in the discussion for the greatest player of all time. He has yet to lose a set and has only been broken once throughout the entire tournament. If he continues to serve like that, Djokovic will have his work cut out for him. Nadal should be able to move Djokovic all over the court and with those heavy-bouncing balls, he will be able to wear Djokovic down. Both are great movers, but I give the edge to Nadal on the clay. I would think the crowd would also be in his favor as well. There is no doubt that Djokovic is a great player, but on the clay and with the way Nadal is playing now I have to say he's the favorite.
I'd love to hear your thoughts so send them in!
