IMG Academy alum Nicole Bartnik was named All-Ivy League following her performance at Columbia this year. To qualify for All-Ivy League Honors, the student mustbe a starter or a key reserve on his/her team andmaintain a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average or better.
Women's tennis junior Nicole Bartnik had a sensational season, earning Ivy League Player of the Year honors after going undefeated (7-0) in singles during conference play. She posted a 14-3 overall record and was a unanimous First Team All-Ivy League selection. Bartnik led the Lions to a historic season as their 13 victories and four Ivy League wins were all-time bests and their 4-3 conference mark was the first winning record in program history.
Following her 2011 season, Bartnik ranked #20 in the nation with doubles partner Crystal Leung. She also become the first player in Columbia history to earn a regional title.
Bartnik isn't new to being honored for her success as a student-athlete. Before graduating from IMG Academy, she competed in both junior Wimbledon and the junior US Open and was named the 2009 Student of the Year.
