This is the time of year where prospects -- both in the 2013 class and beyond -- are attending camps across the nation, like the IMG All-Madden Mini-Camp at the IMG Academy down in Bradenton, Florida.
This year, four prospects from Texas headed to Florida: Austin High sophomore QB John Albert Mansour, Westlake senior LB Jacob Mansour, Austin High senior TE/LB Charles Schneider and Westlake junior RB Alex Chavez.
John Albert Mansour will likely be the starting QB at Austin High after being his team's Offensive MVP his freshman year. He learned from one of the best -- former Heisman Trophy winner Chris Weinke -- at the IMG Academy.
Jacob Mansour is one of the key cogs in the Westlake defense, notching 75 tackles and earning all-district honors a year ago.
Schneider has been one of Austin High's most important targets since his sophomore season, earning an all-district nod last season, and could be poised for an even bigger year.
Chavez was a late addition to the Westlake varsity roster last season after impressing on the junior varsity level, and could be the team's starting RB come fall.
The IMG All-Madden Mini Camp invites elite-performing high school football players to participate in three days of position-specific drills, structured 7-on-7/11-on-11 scrimmages and classroom education focused on the installation of basic schemes and concepts taught at the next level
