Michael Mmoh leads USA's strong start at World Junior Tennis Championships

Michael Mmoh is 4-0 in singles play through first four days of competition

Not having lost a single set, IMG Academy student-athlete Michael Mmoh is off to a hot start in Prostejov, Czech Republic. Leading the top-seeded USA Boys team at the 2012 ITF Junior World Championships in the Boys 14 division, Mmoh is undefeated through four days of competition, going 4-0 in singles play, and 2-0 in doubles.

Mmoh advanced past the semi-finals in a match that was more tightly contested than the scoreindicated, besting Brazil's Antonioni Fasano 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets during Thursday's action to help the USA advance to the next round.

Team USA's Boys 14s will face an even greater challenge in the finals against defending champions, Korea, when play resumes on Friday.

Mmoh Mmoh accepted an invitation from the USTA to represent the United States in the 14 and under World Championships after moving up 343 spots in the ITF Juniors Rankings since February to become No. 254 overall in the world. With the additional wins, Mmoh is currently 19-7 on the year in singles, and 13-7 in doubles.
