IMG Academy alum Cheng-Tsung Pan, the world's No. 12 amateur golfer, finished one stroke away from a berth in the Master's at the Asia-Pacific Amateur on Sunday. Pan opened the week with 75, and shot 67-67-65 in an inspired performance through the final three rounds. However, the victor would be China's Tianlang Guan, a 14-year old golf prodigy, who will break the record for the youngest-ever player in Master's history when he tees off in Augusta in April.
Cheng-Tsung Pan came toIMG Academyfrom Chinese Taipei, and spent four years with the golf program. Coached byDavid Whelan, Pan committed to play for the Washington Huskies golf program as a member of the class of 2011, where he has already earned All-Pac 12 honors, named third team All-American by Golfweek and was a Ben Hogan Award semifinalist in 2012.
