Senior Jordan Lippetz has been accepted to join the Princeton Tigers ladies golf program – becoming the first-ever IMG Academygolfer to join the prestigious Ivy League school.
Lippetz, a native of Piedmont, California, had a big year in 2012, competing in 12 events and recording six top-5 finishes. Along the way, she has become a Top-100 junior golfer, No. 3 in her class in the state of Florida, and received interest from many Division I schools. However, her success was not limited to the links. She was also named to the HP Scholastic Junior All-American team, the AJGA announced in August, and is president of the IMG chapter of the National Honor Society.
Lippetz shot 3-over 147, which included a final round 69, at Concession Club in Bradenton, Fla. to win the IMG Junior Golf Tour Championship in May, earning her a Golfweek Player of the Week award. She also set the women’s course record at the Mission Hills Country Club in Kansas City with a 66 during the second round of the 2012 AJGA Lockton Kansas City Junior.
The Princeton women’s golf program has taken four Ivy League titles, and has produced eight individual Ivy League champions in the programs’ 21-year existence.
