The IMG Academy Bollettieri Tennis Program's Yoshihito Nishioka notched his second Futures win of 2013 over the weekend when he took the singles title at the Chile F11 Futures, held in Quillota, Chile, Dec. 9-15. Nishioka, the No. 8 seed, turned in a commanding performance after dropping the first set of his first match, the only set he would yield the entire tournament. In the final, Nishioka upended Argentina's Andres Molteni, currently ranked No. 276 ATP, by a score of 7-5, 6-2.
The Chile F11 Futures marked Nishioka's first Futures title since September, when the 18-year old from Tsu City, Japan won the USA F25 Futures doubles title. Nishioka's last Futures title came at February's Mexico F3 Futures, which was also his first career professional singles title.
