Earlier this month, 40 players and five coaches from the Hartwick College Men's Lacrosse program took their game to the next level by training at IMG Academy. Coming off a 6-8 record in 2013, the Hawks were looking for an edge to win the Empire 8 Conference. Located in Oneonta, N.Y., the team escaped the snowy onslaught of winter storms to train under the much milder central Florida sun.
"Our players and coaches enjoyed every day and made the most of every minute while we were at IMG Academy,” said Hartwick Head Coach Bill Bjorness. “Our overall experience at IMG was first class in every way from facilities to dining facilities and our housing.
Offensive Coordinator Rich Petillo added, “From start to finish, it was a top notch training atmosphere here at IMG Academy. It was a pleasure to participate and to get fully integrated into IMG Academy.”
In between training sessions, the team took time to visit nearby Coquina Beach and Anna Maria Island.
