IMG Academy golf program gets back to the game's roots in Scotland

Recently, the IMG Academy golf program had a chance to get back to the game's roots with a trip to Scotland. Eight IMG Academy student-athletes, accompanied by coaches Jay Denton and Andrew Oliphant, traveled to the home of golf. The players had the opportunity to play on the historic St. Andrews circuit of courses including Old Course, New Course, Jubilee and Kingsbarns, with an additional stop at Leven Links.
IMG Academy's Newport Laparojkit and Kanyanat Saithip win on Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

Recently, IMG Academy's own Newport Laparojkit and Kanyanat Saithip, who both hail from Thailand, claimed victories on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) at the IMG Academy Junior Classic, held at the IMG Academy Golf Club, April 27-28.
Additionally, IMG Academy players claimed the top-five spots in the Boys 15-18 Division. Following Laparojkit were Juan Veloza in second place, and Shuhei Takahashi, Claudio Correa and Rodrigo Munoz who all tied for third.

Prior to working at IMG Academy Patrick was with the Baltimore Orioles Organization providing athletic training services to the rookie level affiliate in the Gulf Coast League as well as assisting the minor league medical coordinator in all minor and major league rehabilitation programs. Before working in professional baseball Patrick worked at Resurgen’s Orthopeadics, an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic providing rehabilitation services to patients with a variety of orthopedic injuries.

Christian brings an abundance of experience with him from both the academic and golfing worlds. His primary responsibility at IMG Academy is to work alongside the golf program with both groups and individuals.
