What do Olympic gold medalist LaShawn Merritt, Angelo Taylor, and the owner of the fastest 40 yard dash time at the 2012 NFL combine have in common? They all train at IMG Academy and you can too! Athletic & Personal Development camps are offered year-round and can help you become a bigger, stronger and faster athlete. All Athletic & Personal Development camps are TOTAL ATHLETE which includes all elements of the Core Sport Camp, plus one extra hour per day of Mental Toughness, Nutrition, Speed/Movement, Leadership Training, Vision/Reaction Training on a rotating basis.

You will participate in two physical conditioning components per day (movement and agility or strength and conditioning) and you will also receive two additional sessions per week of each of the following:  

  • Mental conditioning
  • Nutrition
  • Vision Training
  • Athletic Regeneration (sports therapy evaluation & massage)

What you’ll Learn
Physical Conditioning
Develops sport-specific strength, power, movement, speed, agility, flexibility, and conditioning. Delivered in a 10,000 square-foot weight room, covered turf and composite/turf track complex.
Mental Conditioning
Builds the mental skills – including confidence, focus and determination – that help athletes reach their goals and compete at their best on any given day.
Nutrition
Optimizes personal nutrition to meet high-level lifestyle and sport demands, with topics including optimal everyday nutrition, eating plans to meet sportspecific demands, body composition, energy balance and body weight issues, dietary supplements and hyd
Life Skills
Teaches athletes the skills and characteristics that develop high-performance habits in both sports and life.
Leadership Training
Helps develop personal presence, communication skills, character building, accountability and conversational skill to provide more guidance and stability as a leader.
Vision Training
Develops an athlete’s eye muscles and visual system to enhance hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, reaction time and depth perception.
Athletic Body Management
Reduce the potential of injury through corrective exercises, allowing for optimal training and rejuvenation of the body through the use of massage and physical therapy.
