Johnny DuRocher will begin a three-week training session today with Athletic & Personal Development program to kick start his return to the football field.
In 2006, DuRocher was diagnosed and treated for a benign brain tumor, which he thought at the time would ultimately end his football career. After pursuing his potential in baseball and suffering an elbow injury, DuRocher returned to Washington and began training to get back into football shape.
In December 2008, he had surgery for an Achilles injury, but recovered enough to throw for NFL scouts in March. DuRocher will undergo the full IMG Academy Athletic & Personal Development programsexperience alongside NFL wide receiver Matt Jones and plans to return better than ever.
Look to see him on the gridiron in the coming years.
