The IMG Academy School students Kyle Allen and Tyler Pastornicky have had stellar seasons at IMG's Baseball Academy. The pair's feats on the diamond have placed them among the best in the country.
Allen and Pastornicky were recently named Second-Team Preseason All-Americans by Rawlings in association with Perfect Game, according to an IMG Academy news release.
Allen, a senior outfielder/pitcher from Riverview, is currently batting .455 with six doubles, a home run and a team-leading five triples.
He is second on the team with 21 RBIs. Allen has made a verbal commitment to N.C. State, the news release said.
Pastornicky, a senior shortstop/closer from Bradenton, is currently leading the team with a .534 batting average, along with six home runs, 28 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.
Tyler's rare mix of speed, bat control, power, and arm strength has led to a scholarship at Florida State University.
Allen and Pastornicky are projected to be picked in the top 10 rounds of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft in June.
