Class of 2013 defensive back and 2011 IMG ALL-MADDEN Team selection Richard Allen has secured his spot at this summer's ALL-MADDEN Mini-Camp July 27-29. Alongside fellow defensive back Allen Hall, Richard Allen will aim to become the first back-to-back and two-time IMG ALL-MADDEN Team selection.
Following his 2011 ALL-MADDEN campaign, Allen recorded four interceptions, scored three touchdowns, broke up 12 passes and averaged 13.5 yards per punt return as a junior at John L. Curtis High School in New Orleans, LA. Curtis, the Class 8A State Champions, received their best game from Allen in the state championship; a game they won 33-3. Allen recorded a season high six tackles and a key redzone interception. He led the team in interceptions and pass break-ups.
On Monday, Allen gave his verbal commitment to the hometown Tulane University Green Wave. Allen has been clocked electronically in the low 4.4's and some believe he can run a 4.3. Allen's junior highlights are included in the link below:

John Curtis defensive back Richard Allen has verbally committed to Tulane. the 5'10, 170-pound Allen is an honor student with a 4.0 GPA and a 25 score on his ACT.
Allen chose Tulane over McNeese State. He joins Curtis teammate Brandon Godfrey as part of the Tulane recruiting class of 2013 for Curtis Johnson.
"I feel my speed is good, I'm very fast," said Allen. "I believe I can thrive in man-to-man coverage. I have good technique and ball skills. I look forward to having a chance to contribute early in my career at Tulane."
