About Bobby Johnston
Bobby has more than 18 years of coaching experience at the collegiate, club, and high school levels. His college coaching experience includes five years as the Associate Head Women’s coach (2007 – 2012) at James Madison University. In that time, JMU advanced to three NCAA tournaments, reaching the second round twice and the round of 16 in 2008, with one CAA conference tournament championship in 2010. Prior to JMU, Bobby coached at the University of Tampa (2002 – 2006). UT reached four consecutive NCAA tournaments and played in the Final Four in 2006. In addition, Tampa won the Sunshine State Conference championships in 2005 and 2006 and Johnston was named the Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year and South Region Coach of the Year in those seasons. His college coaching career began in South Bend, IN at Saint Mary’s College in 2001.
