Prior to her LPGA Tour debut in 2007, Cho had established herself as a solid junior, collegiate, and professional golfer. She has been an AJGA All-American, earned two All-SEC selections at the University of Florida, finished as a runner-up in a Futures Tour event, and even competed on Golf Channel's Big Break Hawaii, where she finished in 2nd place (2005).

Cho competed in three U.S Women’s Open Championships including 1999 where Cho was the youngest player in the field. She was also a member of the 1999 French Junior National Team. Cho is now an assistant coach for the Duke women's golf team.
