Angelo Taylor has been named captain of the USA Men's Track team for the 2012 Olympics. Taylor, an IMG trainee and 2-time Olympic gold medalist, worked with speed and movement coach Loren Seagrave to prepare for his third Olympic Games this summer.
Taylor took home the gold in the 400m hurdles in both 2000 and 2008 as well as a gold medal in the 4 x 400m relay in 2008 with teammate and IMG trainee LaShawn Merritt.
âI'm definitely excited on being nominated and chosen to be the team captain,â Taylor told USA Track and Field. âI want to do my best to go out there and share my experience and give advice to some of the younger athletes out here for the first time. I'm here to help anyone who needs my help, and I am fully honored to be the captain.â
