IMG Academy alumni Srna Stosljevic, a member of the class of 2012, is off to a hot start as a true freshmen at the University of Connecticut. Behind the stellar play of Stosljevic, the UCONN women's tennis team earned a second place finish at the New England Championships this past weekend held at Providence College.

FreshmanSrna Stosljevic (Novi Sad, Serbia) dominated her flight with straight set victories, needing a tie breaker in the semifinal. She downed Stony Brook, 6-2, 6-3 in the opener before a 7-6, (7-5), 6-2 victory in the semifinal against Sacred Heart. In the final of No. 2 singles, Stsljevic defeated Providence, 6-4, 6-3.
Earlier this year, Srna was the recipient of the BollettieriTennis program'sJelena Jankovic 4 Year Award. The annual award goes to the student athlete who has been with the academy for 4 or more years, and has excelled both on and off the court.
