We would like to congratulate both Kyle Allen and Tyler Pastornicky for being named Second-Team Preseason All-Americans by Rawlings in association with Perfect Game.
Kyle Allen, a Senior Outfielder/Pitcher from Riverview, is currently batting .455 with 6 doubles, 1 homerun, and a team-leading 5 triples. He is second on the team with 21 RBI’s. Kyle has even been more superb on the mound as IMG Academy’s number one starter. Kyle has made a verbal commitment to North Carolina State University.
Tyler Pastornicky, a Senior Shortstop/Closer from Bradenton, is currently leading the team with a .534 Batting Average, 31 hits, 6 homeruns, 28 RBI, a 1.017 Slugging Percentage, and 14 Stolen Bases. He also leads the Panthers in saves on the mound. Tyler’s rare mix of speed, bat control/power, fielding prowess, and pure arm strength has lead to a scholarship at Florida State University.
Numerous Scouting Directors and National Cross checkers have been on the IMG Campus at Academy Park to watch both Allen and Pastornicky over the last month. Both are projected as top 10 round picks in the MLB Amateur Draft this upcoming June.
