Over the weekend, the IMG Academy Golf program's Latanna Stone secured her second FSGA win of the fall at Juliette Falls in the Girls 16-18 division. Only 12-years old, Stone paced the field with the low round of the event on Saturday with an impressive round of 71. Stone's low round padded her lead enough that she was able to fend off Terese Romeo and Emma Albrecht on Sunday by a single stroke. Stone finished with scores of 71, 78 on the weekend, while Romeo and Albrecht finished tied for second.
Stone, a native of Ruskin, Fla., qualified for the inaugural Drive, Chip & Putt Championship, which will be played the Sunday prior to the start of the Master's in Augusta, Ga. in 2014. Founded by the USGA, PGA TOUR and Master's Tournament Foundation, the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship will feature 88 of the top junior golfers who qualified through a series of local qualifying events in July. The event will be broadcast on The Golf Channel. Stone will also compete in this year's Dixie Amateur, Dec. 17-20, to be held at Heron Bay Golf Club in Coral Springs, Fla.
