At the Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) event at Stonegate Golf Club, the IMG Academy golf program's Seiya Liu fell just shy of the Boys 15-19 title, but made quite an impression on the final day. Liu ended the first day three-strokes off the lead after a round of 74 (+2), but followed up with the low-round of the event, a three-under 69 to end the event. Liu's inspired round put him in contention for the 15-19s title, but it was not quite enough to overcome Venezuela's Luis Acevedo, who fended off Liu's pursuit with a two-under 142 on the weekend.
IMG Academy student-athlete Seiya Liu may be only 16-years old, but he is making a difference in children's lives through his charitable work. Liu has been the top fundraiser for the American Junior Golf Association's (AJGA) Playing Fore Their Future Program, which benefits the Jack Nicklaus Children’s Healthcare Foundation.
