Event Overview
From November 17 - November 23rd, 2019, some of the world’s newest talent will meet at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL for the 2019 IMG Academy Discovery Open. This international tennis event brings a jam-packed week of high level training and evaluation, sanctioned UTR matches, special events and activities, and an invite only tournament group competing for a grand prize of a wild card into the qualifying rounds and additional 3 day pre-training camp for the esteemed Eddie Herr International Junior Championship November 27 - December 8th 2019 at IMG Academy.
Stay-to-Play
The Discovery Open is a "stay-to-play" tournament. Every team participating must either stay at the IMG Academy Legacy Hotel, IMG Academy campus housing, or book through our travel agency, HBC. All teams will be required to fill out this housing form to indicate their accommodations and secure their spot in the tournament.
The Legacy Hotel at IMG Academy is the ultimate stay-to-play accommodation for IMG events. Participants and spectators will enjoy a modern suite of luxury amenities at this lifestyle, boutique hotel - all within walking distance from the IMG Academy campus. Competition Format
Discovery Open Tournament (U12, U14, and U16)
The tournament group will include Boys’ and Girls’ U12, U14, and U16 divisions. It is a singles Round Robin event. The match format will be best 2 out of 3 sets regular scoring, with a 10-point super tiebreak in lieu of a third set. Players are guaranteed 4 matches. All matches are UTR sanctioned. Grand prize includes a wild card into the qualifying rounds and additional 3 day pre-training camp for the esteemed Eddie Herr International Junior Championship November 27 - December 8th 2019 at IMG Academy.
*An application is required to participate in the tournament but does not guarantee entry. Regardless of acceptance, all players will be guaranteed 4 UTR matches.

IMG Academy and Dunlop have partnered together to provide players with the most optimal training and development experience available in today's game. Sarasota/Bradenton Florida is conveniently located in central Florida and located near many large international airports. Make sure to book travel through one of these local airports.

Florida’s premier theme parks are located just minutes away from IMG Academy.
