IMG Academy golfer Teddy Tetak, a native of Slovakia, was recently recognized for his exploits on the links by his home country. Tetak had an impressive showing at Velka Lomnica, held January 13-15, where he won his category convincingly, playing the top three rounds of the tournament with scores of 76+70+73. As a result, Tetak received a medal as the Most Talented Slovak Golfer of the Year. Slovakian news outlet Teraz lauded Tetak’s abilities as a player, citing his balance, feel for the ball and impressive technical skill.
Picking up where he left off, Tetak scored his second victory of the season in the Boys 11-14 Division of the IMG Junior Golf Tour event at Laurel Oak, held in Sarasota, Fla., January 19-24. After being down by four strokes, Tetak roared back for a two-stroke victory, shooting 82+77+73=232 (+1). The win puts him in second place in the season points standing for the Boys 11-14 Division.
