Alejandro Tabilo breaks into ITF top-100 after impressive run at Citta Di Prato
Alejandro Tabilo of the IMG Academy Bollettieri Tennis program, a native of Toronto, Canada, reached a new milestone, breaking into the ITF top-100 for the first time after reaching the finals of the ITF Grade 2 International Junior Tournament Citta' Di Prato, held at the Tennis Club Prato in Italy, May 6-11. Tabilo was dominant on his way to the final, upending four consecutive opponents ranked within the ITF top-200, including handing Great Britain's Rhett Purcell (#80 ITF) his eighth defeat of the season. In the final, Tablio's run came to an end in the final against Italy's Nicolo Turchetti (#114 ITF). With the win, Tabilo jumped 33 places to #99 overall in the latest ITF rankings. Earlier this year, Tabilo secured his 12th Canadian National Championship (8 singles, 4 doubles).
