IMG Academy Produces Top-Seeded Juniors in New York
Currently competing in New York at the U.S. Open, Axel Geller (ARG) and Whitney Osuigwe (USA) both hold the top seed in their respective junior draws. Geller and Osuigwe call IMG Academy their home courts between tournament schedules, and they're on the rise from the junior circuit. Their dedication to the sport along with the support from Bradenton have propelled them through the ranks in 2017.
Geller most recently took home the crown for the Boys Doubles division at Wimbledon with Yu Hsiou HSU (TPE), while falling just short of a second title in the finals of the Boys Singles draw. Osuigwe holds the trophy from the Girls Singles draw at the 2017 French Open and came close to winning the Girls Doubles title at Wimbledon as well, falling in the finals with partner Caty McNally (USA).
Geller and Osuigwe obtain proper training and development from IMG Academy. As a grounds for ultimate growth from year-round Sports Camps to the classrooms of the Boarding School to elite athletic programs, IMG Academy's experienced staff and coaches rival the best, worldwide.
Geller takes the court in the second match on Court 11 Tuesday, September 5th while Osuigwe will compete on Court 13 at 11 a.m. IMG Academy will be supporting both juniors from Florida in hopes that they will further their 2017 Grand Slam records.
