Naotoshi Tamaru started as the Japanese Outreach Coordinator at IMG Academy in the fall of 2015. In this role, he assists families through the enrollment process, for camps and boarding school. Tamaru looks forward to helping families realize their student-athlete's academic and athletic dreams.
Before coming to work at IMG Academy, Tamaru had worked for publishers in Japan for more than 10 years. As an editor and writer, Tamaru contributed to a new monthly sport magazine and interviewed a number of Japanese and international athletes. In addition, he planned advertising projects with major sports brands and directed sales promotions at an advertising and marketing company. Tamaru has also been an avid tennis player for over 20 years.
