About Daniel Jackson

Print Bio

With over 20 years of golf experience, IMG Academy coach Daniel Jackson has worked with every phase of the golf game from aspiring student-athletes striving to turn pro to the everyday golfer looking to enhance their game.

Since the age of nine, Jackson has pursued his passion for sports transitioning from a decorated three-sport athlete to an experienced golf instructor working with golfers of all ages. While growing up in Nottingham, England, Jackson excelled in golf, soccer and basketball early playing as a shooting guard in the National Basketball 3v3 Championship; in addition to being scouted out by professional soccer team. After graduating from the University of Birmingham (UK), Jackson turned his golf talents pro at 21 and began working with master professional Gary Alliss while playing in tournaments. Realizing his own passion for teaching the game of golf, Jackson focused his efforts on coaching full-time and began splitting his time between Austria and IMG Academy. In addition to his on course work with our student-athletes and adult training program,  Jackson has instructed both of the under 21 National teams for Sweden and Finland. Jackson has prior experience at IMG Academy, having served on the coaching staff from 2011-15. He rejoined the team in March 2016. Prior to his return to IMG Academy, Jackson worked as a coach for England golf, while completing his advanced coaching level with the English PGA and the Birmingham University (UK).
