Perrot won the 2001 U.S. Girls' Junior and was runner-up at the U.S. Women's Amateur that same year. She turned professional in 2002 and trained at IMG Academy from 2002 to 2004.

Following her time at IMG Academy, Perrot competed on the LPGA Futures Tour. She won two events on tour in 2004 and qualified for the LPGA Tour after finishing 3rd on the Futures money list. In 2005 she won the Longs Drugs Challenge, becoming the first Chilean-born player to win on the LPGA Tour.
