San Jose, Calif.—Myesha Broaden, a 6-2 post player, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play women’s basketball at San Jose State as announced by head coach Pam DeCosta.
Broaden, originally from Pacoima, Calif., spent the past two seasons at the IMG Academies IMG Academy School in Bradenton, Fla.. She averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds per game last season for Panthers who finished the year with a 20-7 record.
“Myesha was a great signing for us and fills a void in the post position that we did not have last year,” said DeCosta who enters her second season at the helm of the program. “She is an inside presence and is a true back to-the-basket scorer. Myesha is a good rebounder and can have an immediate impact for us this upcoming season.”
Broaden joins eight others who will play at San Jose State for the 2008-09 season – Kelly Blair, Ashley Brown, Monique Coble, Dominique Hamilton, Shaunna Ridge, Chasity Shavers, Autumn Spikes and Brittany Williams.
