The IMG Academy located in Bradenton, FL is a breeding ground for all athletes looking to better themselves. Ranging from athletes seeking a college scholarship to professionals seeking superstardom, IMG is known for getting results. More specifically, the IMG Academy Bollettieri tennis program has produced some of the world's top tennis talent. From Andre Agassi and Marcelo Rios to Tommy Haas and Xavier Malisse, the generations of champions are impressive. Although the older generation are still producing results, there is a young crop of talent that is making big impressions on the ATP Tour.
As a fine representative of Bollettieri's older class of stars, Xavier Malisse has hit his full stride on grass court the past two weeks. Getting to the quarterfinal last week at the Aegon Championships and beating the likes of world #3 Novak Djokovic, Malisse continued his run this week at the Unicef Open getting to the semifinals of the event. In the quarterfinals earlier today, Malisse worked his magic with another crafty three set win over Colombian Alejandro Falla 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Up next for the powerful Belgian is world #71 Sergiy Staghovsky of Ukraine.

The young crop of IMG stars are also producing results as of late. New Zealand's own Michael Venus, a former LSU standout, is currently on a six match winning streak at the Futures Level. Venus, who is now ranked #530 on the ATP Tour, won five straight matches to capture the $15,000 Futures Event title in Loomis, CA. On the way to the championship, Venus took out another IMG student Bryan Koniecko in the semifinals. He will look to continue his great run this week at the next California Futures as he takes on Philip Simmonds. Venus already defeated Montenegro's Daniel Danilovic in the first round 7-6, 6-0.
Another rising IMG star is Jordan Cox. The 18-yr old young American has been climbing up the ATP rankings and now sits at #600. He recently won a $15,000 Futures Event in Korea; look for Jordan's continued success this week as he has already won his first round match and plays against Japan's Takuto Niki in the second round.
