Industry leader in college recruiting to provide educational tools and resources to IMG Academy
BRADENTON, Fla. (June 28, 2010) - IMG Academy, the Bradenton, Fla.-based multi-sport training facility, today designated the National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) its âOfficial Recruiting Education Provider.' Under the agreement, students enrolled in IMG Academy' weekly camps and full-time academy programs will gain access to invaluable recruiting tools and expert advice from the industry leader in college recruiting technology, data and education for more than 40,000 college coaches and 200,000 of the nation's top prospects.
"IMG Academy has always been highly focused on college placement and we've had tremendous results. Last year alone, 90 of our 92 graduating student-athletes were accepted into top higher learning institutions," said Sam Zussman, Senior Vice President, IMG Worldwide and Managing Director of IMG Academy. "With the addition of the nation's leading recruiting education specialist, we are looking forward to providing our students, parents and coaches with the absolute best technical and personal recruiting platform available."
The 12,000 junior athletes who participate in various Academy programs throughout the year will have personal access to NCSA services and staff through the Chicago-based association's on-campus satellite office. Additionally, the Academies play host to a number of elite, sporting events at which the NCSA will now have a presence. These events include the Under Armour Combines, the Eddie Herr International Tennis Championships, as well as numerous USTA tennis tournaments, basketball invitational tournaments, IMG Academy soccer program Cup, and the IMG Wood Bat League, to name a few.
